THE MOMENT THAT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE: My 'hat project'
While I was taking a nap on the sofa one afternoon, I suddenly came up with
a brilliant idea. Did they have any hats made of towels? I had been trying
everything to deal with my sweating, but nothing had worked except towels.
So, I ended up imagining this 'towel hat'. I had bought 40 hats and none of
them either covered my baldness completely or helped me deal with sweating.
I started my reseach immediately, and found out that there was no hat that
could be used specifically by cancer patients. I tried to figure out a model
which had to cover the neck on the back and the material had to be towel-like.
I got extremely excited when I thought of that idea, because I had just
designed a hat for cancer patients. Anyone, but particularly cancer patients
would be able to that hat without having to go through the inconvenience I
had experienced. I applied for patent rights immediately, first for the
design, then for the material. In other words, I have the patent of this hat
in Turkey now. We started manufacturing samples. At the second go we had
achieved to produce a sample that conformed to the model and style that I
had imagined. My only wish now is to see this hat being used by
cancer patients!
I
believe that day was the most important day of my life. I had used all the
talents God had bestowed upon me promoting celebrities until that day. Now I
want to use them for people in need. This hat is great for covering one's
head, extremely helpful dealing with perspiration. It is also antibacterial.
I want people to be able to buy it from any drugstore for a very small
amount of money.
